Locally Product Updates: March 2023

New SwitchLive Events

Looking to track which stores are being presented in your Product Locator tool? Our two new SwitchLive events now tell you when and which stores are being presented through Locally on your site. Click here for more information about this updated feature.

A New Buy Online Option

Any Locally brand partner can now choose to enable a new “Buy Online” feature in the Product Locator. The Buy Online feature directs shoppers to premier eCommerce partners, displayed adjacent to local in-store results. Locally’s new Buy Online add-on answers our brand clients’ requests to feature their top eCommerce dealers in addition to in-store wholesale partners.

This new feature offers customers alternative options to purchase items not in stock nearby, helping prevent customer dropoff. Buy Online is powered by feeds Locally receives from countless e-commerce dealers. This feature is disabled by default but can be quickly added to any Locally package. Learn more about this new feature here or contact support@locally.com.

Browser-Based Location Detection

Our Product Locator now presents shoppers with the option to share their location to provide them with the most accurate available local inventory. A notification will now appear on any page product page on which the Locally Product Locator is installed to prompt shoppers to allow or deny the use of their location. With more precise location details, your shoppers will be presented with more accurate local product referrals.

Cart Limits for Shoppers

Retailers can now set the maximum quantity allowed in a cart for any particular product. This update helps both brands and retailers to better forecast sales and inventory levels.

Stock Sharing Available in Dealer Lookup

Brands utilizing Locally’s Stock Sharing feature can now see every store’s stock-sharing status within their Dealer List Manager console.

Shopper Cart Reminders

Shoppers can now provide an email address to receive cart reminders about any items they’ve left unpurchased in their Locally shopping cart. The email includes a link back to the precise product page on your website, so the shopper can complete their purchase, either for pickup at a local store or directly from your site to their home.

Support for Google Pay

Shoppers who use Google Pay digital wallet can now check out on any Locally cart with their Google Pay account.
